Hi! I'm Virginia, an academic that uses too much time to think and too little time to publish. I have a background in biomedicine but I'm primarily interested in how we understand academia, how we build knowledge through scientific reasoning, and how we challenge ideas through critical thinking.

Critical overthinking was born out of having too many thoughts, and too few venues in which to engage in critical discussion within academia. With this independent newsletter, I wish to create a space in which to share some of these thoughts. The overall aim of Critical overthinking is to get both myself and those who choose to read this to think a bit deeper about the academic narratives we take for granted.
